Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged as the pioneer of modern research of eyewitness memory in children as well as using children who have been abused to testify as legal witnesses. Prof. Goodman has published widely, received many grants and been recognized with numerous national and international awards. She has worked with many government agencies and institutions around the globe on studies and policy issues pertaining to child people who are victims of the law. She currently serves as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She's a member of numerous professional organizations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been president of three divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division, American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
